Nina & Kim met in 2018 in South Florida, and instantly connected through yoga & fitness. Combined, both have 20+ years of yoga, meditation, & fitness training. Check out their bios below & learn more about your retreat hosts!
After reconstructive knee surgery in 2014, I began taking yoga classes to aid in my recovery. I quickly found yoga as a way to not only rebuild my strength, but also alleviate stress and anxiety. Shortly after, I became a certified yoga teacher and personal trainer, and have spent the last 5 years taking trainings & courses from amazing teachers & shamans around the world to understand the body & mind even more. Gathering my learnings, I authored a guide for new yoga teachers in 2019, which is currently used around the world in yoga teacher trainings.
I have found that yoga & fitness can be very meditative when combined with awareness & understanding of the body. Combining my training in transcendental meditation, anatomy, and fitness, my teaching style is meditative, challenging, and unique, whether you are taking a vinyasa or yin class with me. This combination creates an amazing experience for mental & physical growth & progression in every students yoga practice – on & off the mat.
I currently reside in Seattle, Washington, and in my free time enjoy playing the guitar, taking naps, and am constantly on the hunt for the world’s best cookie.
